Hello everyone,
My name is Victoria McGregor (formerly Gazeley), and I am a practicing contemporary artist based in East Lothian of Scotland. I graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee in 2011 and have been working on my practice ever since. Alongside my practice, I have also been working on a second degree in Art History at the Open University. I am half way through this course.
I predominantly create drawings and painting. I work in a colourfully expressive way, usually using acrylics or watercolour and gouache. My work has focussed on a range of subjects from my travels, animal conservation, reflection on current climate or personal events and my emotional responses to all of them.
I have exhibited regularly across Scotland and my sold commissions that have travelled worldwide.
One of my biggest artistic accomplishments is my role as co-project lead for the Artists at Work exhibition for the National Galleries of Scotland. AAW is an exhibition which showcases the artwork of the many talented artists who work for the National Galleries of Scotland. My role was significant in the success of the second rendition of this exhibition in 2022. Future shows are still a work in progress, but watch this space…
My aim overall is to keep making the art, exhibit regularly and keep expressing. So far so good.
